All About the Results

The THEA, which stands for Texas Higher Education Assessment, is given by all school-students of Texas if they are planning to enter into any college or university in Texas after completing school. There are three sections or test areas in this test, which are: Reading, Mathematics and Writing. It is very important for you to know that the  scores play a very crucial role in determining whether you get accepted in a college or university of your choice. THEA Test Scores

The scores are released over the internet. You can view your results online, by logging on to the online account that you must have created at the time of registration. These results cannot be sent by e-mail, fax or over the phone. The reason behind this practice is that your results are kept confidential.

Each of the three sections of this test is scored on a scale of 100 to 300. The minimum scores required for passing the Reading and Mathematics sections are 230; however, the minimum passing score for the Writing section is 220. You can pass the entire THEA test only if you pass each of the three sections of the test.

How to Interpret the Test Results?

The results are displayed in form of a score report that contains your scores in the three sections of the test. The score report is generated within 10 minutes of the essay response being scored. Since the OMR-based report is scanned electronically for the scoring process, there is very little margin for error. Hence, the scores are highly accurate and are a direct demonstration of your skills in those key areas which you will use in your college or university education.
