Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? One should never judge a person by external appearances. Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.

Appearance has been rated as a distinct feature in many different organizations worldwide. Often, we human beings give a lot of importance to the way we look in order to either impress others or to gain attention. It is important, although it cannot be the sole reason for you to be looked upon as gentle. Worldwide, there are many different companies and brands that offer solutions for looking charming or vibrant externally. Perhaps, there isn't a company that trains people to look vibrant and diligent from the inside. It is an intrinsic characteristic trait that one develops based upon his/her understanding of life.

When we speak of judging a person, it is done in many ways. It largely depends upon the mentality of the persons under consideration. Some people might consider judging a person based upon their first look and impression and others don't. However, a person cannot practically be judged just by his/her external appearance. Since, there is a chance for you to be deceived by external appearances. You can judge a person only by his/her character because no one can fake it. Even if they fake it, that is momentary and they can be understood in course of time. More importantly, this situation occurs in job interviews very often. Any able interviewer makes a clear judgement of you based upon the questions that he/she poses and not by how you look.

The following example, perhaps, can best support this contention. Everyone might have heard about the famous instance when an Indian monk, clad in orange attire took everyone by surprise at the World's Congress Auxiliary Building during the convening of Parliament of the World's Religions in the year 1893. It was Swami Vivekananda and he uttered "Sisters and Brothers of America" and witnessed a standing ovation by 7000 delegates for two minutes. He was a simple man and it is said that there were people giggling in the audience by looking at his strange attire before he adorned the stage.

In conclusion, it can be said that the idea of judging a person by his external appearance is incorrect. External appearance might be important at times. For instance, in a corporate work place, you are expected to look clean and sophisticated but it must not be the only reason to judge the person.
