How can you Apply for toefl
Before preparing the TOEFL application, read the appropriate test bulletin carefully. TOEFL is available in two formats: iBT and PBT. IBT stands for Internet-based Test and PBT stands for Paper-based Test. Note that there are separate bulletins for the TOEFL iBT and TOEFL PBT. The TOEFL test bulletins and required TOEFL application forms are available on the official website (www.ets.org). Test-takers should diligently select their test locations and test dates. Test-takers should also gather information about their preferred institution's score requirements and admission schedules.
There are four methods for registering for TOEFL. They are online registration, telephone registration, mail registration, and TOEFL iBT Resource Center registration. Online registration is the easiest and the quickest method to follow. Telephone registration is not available for TOEFL PBT test-takers. Persons with disabilities and persons with health-related issues who need special test arrangements should send their TOEFL application by mail; other registration options are not available for them.
- Online Registration
Online Registration is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Create your profile before registering. This helps you to complete the online registration quickly as you have to follow a small number of steps. The payment is accepted through credit cards, debit cards, and through vouchers obtained from the voucher resellers and the TOEFL iBT Resource Centers. US domestic account holders are allowed to use their electronic checks for making payments. ETS may change the payment policies at the time of your registration. So, remember to carefully read the instructions before making any payment. ETS's online registration system is safe and secure if given instructions are properly followed. Don't click on the browser's back button, don't type special characters, and don't double click on any buttons while registering online.
- Telephone Registration
Before registering by telephone, test-takers should have read and understood registration policies and procedures. Test-takers should also be ready to provide the required codes. Test-takers should spell their names correctly. Payment methods that are relevant for online registration are also relevant for telephone registration.
- Mail Registration
Test-takers who prefer registering by mail have to download and fill in the form from the official website (www.ets.org). Go through the provided information and select a suitable payment method. Send the filled form along with the payment to the address printed on the form or to the appropriate regional center. Provide the required TOEFL codes correctly: institution code, regional registration center code, department code, country and region code, and native language code. Your TOEFL application should reach ETS or the preferred regional test center four weeks before the preferred test date.
- TOEFL iBT Resource Center Registration
In some locations, ETS authorized TOEFL iBT Resource centers and voucher sellers are available. Vouchers can be purchased in local currencies. A test-taker can either submit his or her TOEFL application at a TOEFL iBT Resource center or he or she can use a voucher obtained from a TOEFL iBT Resource center or voucher reseller to register online or by telephone.
