Steps for TEAS Test Sign-up
Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) is a comprehensive examination to test the potential skills of prospective students who are aiming to enter into the nursing courses. Many nursing programs include TEAS test as a part of their admission process. Hence, if you are planning to take the TEAS test, you will find it useful to learn about the TEAS test sign-up procedure described in this article.
TEAS test is conducted by the Assessment Technologies Institute (ATI). The following instructions will guide you to sign-up for TEAS test through the ATI website:
Create a New Account with ATI
Prior to the TEAS test sign-up, you will be required to register with the ATI system. The following steps shall detail this registration procedure:
Visit the official website of ATI (www.atitesting.com) to begin the registration process. On the home page of the website, you should be able to locate the "Create an Account" link.
Clicking on this link will take you to an online form which you need to fill-in, as a mandatory requirement. The online form will ask you for your general personal information such as full name, email address, home address, date of birth etc.
Apart from the personal information, you need to provide a username and password. The username should include alphabets, numeric and three special characters, namely, dot (.), underscore (_) and at (@). The password can be of a maximum of 16 characters in length.
Also, you will be required to enter your student or employee ID.
It is important to remember your username and password as you will require them during TEAS test sign-up and on the actual test date.
Register for TEAS Test
After creating your unique login with the ATI system, you can now proceed with the TEAS test sign-up. You will have to use your credit card to make the payment online. So, make sure to keep your credit card by your side before you begin the registration. Go through the following steps to get an idea of what information you will be asked to provide, during the registration process.
On the official website of ATI, you will find the "Register for TEAS" link. Clicking on the link will take you to the first page of registration.
In the first page, you will find a prompt to choose the state and city of your choice, where you would like to take the test. After choosing the state and city, you will be taken to the sessions page. In case, you are not able to find your location in the drop-down menu provided, you can click on the "Help" link and write to ATI for help with your TEAS test sign-up.
In the sessions page, the available test dates, timings and locations in your preferred city will be displayed. Clicking on the "Learn More" button will give you the full address of the test centre. You shall click on the "Register" button, next to your choice of the date, timing and test centre location which is convenient to you.
Otherwise, you may choose to change to another city or state or see the complete list of all the test centre sites. Note that the date and timings may vary from one site to the other. Also, note that a few sites might be listed specifically for tests other than TEAS test or for a TEAS test retake only. Hence, you must take extra care in choosing the site in accordance to your requirement and convenience.
Now, clicking on the "Register" button will take you to the confirmation page, where you can re-check the details of your test before proceeding to payment. Remember that once the payment is made, neither the test date can be rescheduled, nor the test fee would be refunded.
After confirmation, the login page to get into the ATI portal will appear. Enter the ATI system using your username and password you had created earlier.
Once you are logged in, key-in your account information to complete the payment and registration process.
Remember that you must consider doing the TEAS test sign-up well before the test date. It will give you the benefit of choosing your most preferred date and location and save you from traveling to another city or state unnecessarily.
