TEAS Score Report
A unique feature of the TEAS is that you do not pass or fail in this test. Therefore, there is no "passing score" in it. However, each nursing school has its own cutoff TEAS test score. You can know about the cutoff score of the different nursing schools by logging on to their respective websites.
Detailed description of your performance is given in the TEAS test score report. The score report contains the following scores:
- Adjusted Individual Score
- National Mean
- Program Mean
- National Percentile Rank
- Program Percentile Rank
Apart from these scores, a list of 13 sub scores is also given in the report which helps in assessing specific content comprehension. All the five different scores mentioned above, as attained in the different content areas of the four test sections are contained in the list.
As the score report is extensively descriptive, the nursing schools get a chance to view your total performance in the test. Additionally, the individual scores help the school understand the topics that you might require assistance in.
The TEAS test report is usually released after 48 hours of taking the test. However, in exceptional cases, the results are released immediately after the test while sometimes, it might even take a week's time to receive the test results.
Utility of the TEAS Score
The TEAS test measures your skills and ability that are required to successfully complete a nursing course. Therefore, the TEAS test scores reflect the level to which you are prepared to join a nursing school.
