Reasons Why You Should Take Up the TEAS

  1. Most nursing schools require the TEAS scores- In the U.S., most nursing schools require the scores of TEAS for admission. In other words, this is the primary entrance test for nursing courses. Apart from good school grades, ACT or SAT grades and good recommendations, a high TEAS score is also needed for joining a nursing program.

  2. Assesses your ability and skills- The abilities and skills that are required for successfully completing a nursing program are evaluated through this test.

  3. Early intervention- If you do not possess the academic skills you would not attain scores that are required to join a nursing program. This makes sure that candidates with lower academic skills would not join and struggle to get through the program later.

  4. Selection list- You do not pass or fail in this exam. The selection list is based on the comparative scoring of all the candidates who have taken up the test at that particular time.

  5. Admission Formula- The psychometricians at the ATI devise an admission formula that is best for a nursing program. Therefore, only candidates with the skills that are required for the program get selected.

The above- mentioned points are the important reasons why you should take up TEAS.

Conclusion

The TEAS is specially designed for nursing college admissions. The scores in this test are your passport to joining a nursing program. Therefore, anyone who wants to enroll in a nursing program should take this test seriously and work towards achieving a high score. With a high score, one can join a nursing program in a college of his/her choice.
