SAT Test Registration Dates for United States

  • December 3, 2011: The regular and late registration deadlines are November 8, 2011 and November 20, 2011 respectively.
  • January 28, 2012: You have to register by December 30, 2011. If you miss, you can register late by January 13, 2012.
  • March 10, 2012: The deadline for regular registration is February 10, 2012. In case you miss, you can register late by February 24, 2012.
  • May 5, 2012: The regular registration and late registration deadlines are April 6, 2012 and April 20, 2012 respectively.
  • June 2, 2012: The regular and the late registration deadlines are May 8, 2012 and May 22, 2012 respectively.

Note: The SAT Subject Tests will also be held on the same dates except on March 10, 2012 when only SAT is scheduled to be held.

SAT Test Registration Dates for Other Countries

The SAT exam in other countries is scheduled to be held on the same dates as in the United States and the SAT test registration dates are also the same. However, the SAT is not planned on March 10, 2012 for other countries.

How to Register For SAT?

You can choose from among several options to register for the SAT exam. You can register either online or by mail or via phone. However, registration done online is the fastest among all the options.

    You can choose this option if any of the conditions mentioned below applies to you.

    • You want to pay the registration fees by check or money order.
    • You are less than 13 years old.
    • You want to register for Sunday testing due to a religious obligation.
    • You want to take the SAT test in Benin, Cameroon, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria or Togo.

    You can register by telephone Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. eastern time.

When Should You Register For SAT?

Register for SAT according to the test center of your choice. Not every SAT test is scheduled to be held at every test center.
