PCAT Registration Online
PCAT Online Registration Checklist
The PCAT stands for Pharmacy College Admission Test. It is a standardized test that is conducted in order to determine the eligibility of prospective candidates to pharmacy schools. It is administered by Harcourt Assessment, Inc. The total test duration is four and a half hours. The test is divided into seven different sections. These sections include: Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Biology and Chemistry. Additionally, there are two sections on writing too. There is no penalty for wrong answers in this test. Another important thing to note here is that usage of calculators is not allowed in the test. However, only preparation and gaining knowledge about it is not enough. You should be aware of the different deadlines for registration as well. The online registration for PCAT is the way of applying for the exam and scheduling the test date, time and venue.
Registration and Scheduling for the PCAT
Ideally, the registration should be done as early as possible as the seats for it are booked on a first-come first-serve basis. The registration can be done at the Pearson VUE Test Center (https://tpc-etesting.com/pcat/login.aspx). Once you have registered yourself by creating an account, it is strongly recommended that you select your test date, time and location so that you can take the test. To make the selection, follow the steps mentioned below:
Step 1: Go to the link http://www.pearsonvue.com/pcat and click on Schedule a Test.
Step 2: Make sure that you have your PCAT ID (which you will have made at the time of registering) in front of you while scheduling the test.
Step 3: If you will be taking the CBT (Computer Based Test) version of the test for the first time, then you need to select Create a New Web Account. Clicking this will help to verify your information and create a username and password for the test. You will also be able to enter a security question that will help you to log in, in case you lose your password later. On completing this step, you will receive a summary of the information of your web account.
Step 4: If you have already taken the CBT version of the test through the registration online, you just need to enter your existing username and password in the space provided. Now, you can select the test date, time and desired location.
Step 5: After signing in, you have to confirm that your personal details entered are correct. If you need to make some corrections, you can contact the customer relations department (email@example.com). Now, you can confirm your test date, time and venue which you have selected. At this time, you must also read all the important policies.
In case you face any problems while following this process, you can contact the Pearson VUE center at 1-866-508-8836. For special accommodation or services, you can contact 1-800-466-0450.

It is suggested that you take out a print of this email and bring it along with you to the testing center on the day of your test.
Deadlines: There are two online deadlines that you need to take care of:
Register and Schedule By Deadline: On meeting this deadline, you will be sure to receive the preferred testing day, time slot and venue as per your choice or preference.
Late Registration and Schedule By Deadline: To meet this second online registration deadline, you will have to shell out the additional late fees. Additionally, there is no assurance that you will get the date, time and location of your choice.
Fees: If you register before the deadline gets over, the fee is 199$. Otherwise, an extra late fees of 45$ will be levied. This fee is non-refundable.
Scores: After the test, the scores are available online within 5 weeks of the test date. An important thing to remember here is that the official score report will be available in your online account for a period of 1 year starting from your test date. No pharmacy college will accept the scores from your side. The scores must be sent through the website. You can automatically send scores to three pharmacy colleges for free. For having the scores sent to extra colleges, you will have to pay extra.
Hence, it can be concluded that to enter the profession of pharmacy, PCAT is just a first step. You need to go through the online registration process very carefully so that all the details are correct. Also, the process must take place as early as possible so that you can take the test at the test date, time and location of your choice.
