MCAT Book 1 - Kaplan MCAT 2008-2009 Premier Program (w/ CD-ROM) (Kaplan Mcat Premier Program) (Paperback)
We appreciated the arrangement of the Premier Program book with its individual sections on Verbal Reasoning, Writing, Biology, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Physics, each followed by a short practice test. The book seemed concise but thorough, with good explanations of the answers. For a textbook, especially priced close to $100, we found more errors than the comfortableness! We would have liked a lot more practice testing. More tests are available online and the CD has some.

The verbal studies are excellent, though I'd 0love to see more. Some information is very basic, but at $15-$20, its well worth the time and price.
MCAT Book 5 - The MCAT Physics Book (Paperback)
The product description seems right on for this clear, insightful analysis of MCAT physics. It has 500 practice problems and detailed solutions to all problems. MCAT Book 10 - The MCAT Chemistry Book (Paperback)
Like its sister volume, the biology book, this one claims to be a comprehensive overview of its subject and lives up to that pledge. It is clear and to the point, offering information essential to the testing process together with excellent explanations and diagrams we found easy to understand. It lacks testing strategy, but this is easily overcome with other supplemental works. The chemistry volumes worth its price, but if you are ready, why not get it used.
