MCAT Score
Like any scoring procedure the MCAT test is on the whole calculated on the total score from all the sections in the test. Different sections test the various abilities of the candidate. In order to check the health and capabilities of the candidate the MCAT test section should be individually evaluated. The essay writing section is graded alphabetically from J to T where J is the least score and T being the highest score. Mean out of the total cores in calculated to evaluate the student’s performance. A mean score of 30 or more is considered a good score. Also the individual mean scoring of each section is taken in to consideration. The table below shows the scoring patter clearly.
It takes sixty days for the scores to be mailed to the candidates. But the student can check for his scores online within fifty days. Every MCA test score is valid for the next three years only. Very few schools accept scores that are older than three years. The student needs to verify on that.
Every university or medical institution has its own score range that is accepted for admission.
