LSAT Deadlines

LSAT Deadlines You Should Watch Out For

If you are thinking about an education in law, then you need to plan early. There are many things to arrange, applications to make to law schools and deadlines to meet. This article will tell you about important dates in relation to law school admissions and LSAT deadlines.

Checklist for the LSAT and Law School Admissions:

Step 1:

Log on to lsac.org and read through the important information and create an account. At the same time, try and choose the date for LSAT you wish to take and make a note of the LSAT deadlines.

Step 2:

Depending on how much time you have left for the preparation for the LSAT, collect books for self-study or select an LSAT prep course you wish to take. Register for the course as soon as possible. This is because there may be limited seats, especially if you choose a classroom course.

Step 3:

Research law schools and decide on the ones you would like to apply to, then check the admission process and the relevant deadlines for admissions to those schools.

Step 4:

Register for the LSAT and the Credential Assembly Service (CAS). Most law schools will consider your application if you have taken the December LSAT, for admission in fall of the following year, but the LSAC advises taking the LSAT earlier (June or September/October). It is not compulsory to register for the CAS at this stage. You only have to do it before your law school application deadline.

Step 5:

If you wish to change your LSAT test Center or LSAT date, you can do so before the LSAT deadlines as given at lsac.org. LSAC does not guarantee that you will be given a change of center or date, only that they will do their best to accommodate you.

Step 6:

After you have taken the LSAT and obtained your score, apply to the law schools of your choice.
