Reviews of a Few LSAT Books
LSAT Book 1 - The Next 10 Actual, Official LSAT PrepTest (Lsat Series) [ILLUSTRATED] (Paperback)
This book gives the student good preparation for the actual LSAT examination. It contains a wide array of questions that students can practice. It also gives pointers so that the aspirants can simulate the test. Not only will students get to practice but they'll also learn time management and how to formulate their very own strategies. The Next 10 Actual will work well as a supplement to other materials.
LSAT Book 2 - The PowerScore LSAT Logic Games Bible (Paperback)
David Killoran's The PowerScore LSAT Logic will guide you with a step-by-step process on the analysis of logic games, teaching clear and easy symbolization techniques so that the students can formulate their own strategies in analyzing questions. Forget this book if you feel your logic skills are already advanced. The book may be suitable for students who are struggling with logic games but may be too elementary for those who have already developed skills in this area.
LSAT Book 3 - The Official LSAT SuperPrep (Paperback)
The Official LSAT SuperPrep is a supplementary material for those who are preparing for the LSAT. The book has provided a good overview and general information concerning the test but probably the advantage of this book over other books in the market today is the explanations given for the answers. Explanations are of high quality. The book may be a little expensive for getting 3 prep-tests, but it is worthwhile.
LSAT Book 4 - The Official LSAT Prep Test 51 (Paperback)
The Official LSAT Prep Test 51 is a general review material for students who are taking the LSAT. The book has excellent practice test materials to work on. The practice tests used are high quality and are actual LSAT questions. After taking the practice test, students will have a good idea on how they will perform in the actual examination. They can consider adding more practice test materials so that students can further their skills.
LSAT Book 5 - Master the LSAT (Prep Course Series) (Paperback)
The Master the LSAT Prep claims to prepare the students properly by giving practice questions that reflect the true format of LSAT. We believe that they are not lying when they say this. This is the only book we've encountered that offers free online consultations and online course because they believe that students have different needs. But then again, quality comes with a high price. But this book is really worth its price.
LSAT Book 6 - The Official PrepTest 48 (Official LSAT PrepTest) (Paperback)
The Official PrepTest 48 is very helpful to students because of the valuable insights and tips that are provided by the authors. Since this is a new book, most of the questions and practice test answers were reflective of the mind set of the new test makers. It has enhanced the conventional preparation techniques. With the quality of the new test material, we wouldn't really expect a bargain price. It is definitely worth its price.
LSAT Book 7 - Kaplan LSAT 2009 Comprehensive Program (Paperback)
Made by one of the pillars in preparation industry, we expect nothing but the best from Kaplan LSAT 2009 Comprehensive Program and we are not disappointed. Kaplan is a complete guide. It starts by giving skill foundation to the students and then moves to the actual LSAT questions and explanation of the answers. Kaplan is really pricey but the quality and reliability compensates well for this.
LSAT Book 8 - LSAT for Dummies (Paperback)
It's an irony that dummies take the LSAT. This book is not really meant to be the only reviewer of those who will be taking the LSAT. The book did a good job of giving the reader a bird's eye view of the examination. Outlining the concepts and presenting it in clear, simple sentences, this should be taken with other general review materials.
LSAT Book 9 - Kaplan LSAT Logic Games Workbook [ILLUSTRATED] (Paperback)
This book is a good supplementary material for those who would like to ace the logic games part of the LSAT. Designed for those who would like to focus their review on logic games! It does not just give the answers but gives the students strategies on answering logic games. However, it should not be treated as a stand-alone material for review for the examination because it is just focused on one aspect.
