Some Books for IELTS
IELTS Book 1 - Barron's IELTS with Audio CD: International English Language Testing System (Paperback)
This book offers a comprehensive guide for an individual who is preparing for the examination. It equips the student with the skills needed to get their desired band score in the real test. Students were given clear directions in answering the different question types that they will encounter in the real examination. Four practice tests may not be sufficient. Should consider adding 2-3 more sets of practice tests so students can see their progress.
IELTS Book 2 - Impact Theory and Practice: Studies of the IELTS test and Progetto Lingue 2000 (Studies in Language Testing) (Paperback)
The book is reflective of a sound research practice by examining the impact of IELTS examination and language programs not just to one set of subjects but to multiple subjects. It was able to present neatly the findings for each of the stakeholders. The use of case studies in discussing the findings has increased the reliability of the results. The publishers can look at more cases to further increase the reliability of the results of their study.
IELTS Book 3 - Achieve IELTS Teacher's Book: Intermediate to Upper Intermediate: English for International Education (Achieve Ielts Intermediate/Upp) (Paperback)
Authored by Louis Harrison, who is an educator and an expert himself in preparing students for the IELTS examination, the book offers a very comprehensive guide for students who are taking the examination and who are enrolling in English academic institution. The points discussed were very realistic and practical. Students should give ample time to study the book because it is very detailed-oriented. Not for students who have very limited skills in the English communication.
IELTS Book 4 - Achieve IELTS Workbook: Intermediate to Upper Intermediate: English for International Education (Achieve Ielts Intermediate/Upp) (Paperback)
This is another thorough and high-quality book from Louis Harrison that focuses on practice tests and the score analyzer. Students can now track their own strengths and weaknesses from the practice tests and the score analyzer that categorizes the wrong answers of the students based on the question type. Very strategic in position because it helps students focus on areas where they performed below expectations. Publisher should consider giving more model answers for the writing and speaking test.

For new users of e-book, you better read well the instructions in installing the program before running the e-book.
IELTS Book 7 - Step Up to IELTS Self-study Student's Book [STUDENT EDITION] (Paperback)
Step up IELTS will work well for students preparing f independently and for teachers who are handling upper intermediate takers of or the examinationthis examination. If you are aiming to get a perfect band score of 9, this will be the good choice for practice material. The book is tailored for those who are aiming high band scores. Audience is very limited. Book assumes that all the readers already have the foundation skills.
IELTS Book 8 - IELTS Collected Papers: Research in speaking and writing assessment (Studies in Language Testing) (Paperback)
IELTS is one of the most trusted examinations due to its high validity and reliability so a documentation of the steps involved on its test construction will be a big help for researchers who are into the same field. This book is one of the best books to include in one's review of literature in a test construction project. Highly technical! New researchers may also encounter difficulty in assimilating the concepts and the methodology used.
IELTS Book 9 - Check Your Vocabulary for English for the Ielts Examination: A Workbook for Students (Check Your Vocabulary Workbooks) (Paperback)
This book is a good supplementary material for those who would like to ace the IELTS examination because most of the words included were also used in the practice test and even in the actual examination. Use as a reference material to check unfamiliar words. It is recommended to browse this book after taking the practice tests.
