You are required to provide the names and codes of the institutions where you want your official scores to be sent. This reporting of scores is done free of cost as the cost of reporting the score to four institutes of your choice is included in the registration fee of GRE. A printed score card will also be posted to you at the address provided by you at the time of registration. You may also request for reporting of your score to additional institutions on payment of an extra fee. The name of these institutions can be mentioned at the time of registration itself or they can be communicated later to the test conducting authorities as the case may be.
Fee and Other Charges
The fees for exam registration is between US $175 to US $140 based on your country and the format of the test. The late fee charges for registration are US $25. Though costly, it is possible to modify the registration on payment of an additional fee of US $50. The request for additional reports can be made on payment of an additional fee of US $15. The exam registration charges for re scoring of some sections are US $50-55 each. As per the refund policy of ETS, only half of the registration fee can be refunded if the registration is cancelled before the deadline. No fee will be refunded if you are unable to present suitable identification documents at the time of the exam. There is a facility of reduced fee or waiver based on the financial status of the student.
There are various modes available for exam registration. In addition, the date and time for registration are very flexible. It is recommended that the exam registration should be done well in advance. This will give you sufficient time to plan for your test. You will get the preparation material from ETS for the test at the time of registration, which will be really useful in your preparation. This will also avoid any tension related to the exam registration. Once you have registered with ETS, you can concentrate on preparation for the test.
