GMAT Test Registration

Graduate Management Admission Test is a computer adaptive test and is known as GMAT CAT. You have to give the test on a computer and the computer selects questions for you based on your answers. The questions are gradually increased or decreased on the difficulty scale as per the answers given by you. If you answer difficult questions correctly, you score better as compared to your counterparts who score less for answering easier questions. The test is mandatory for those students who want to do further studies in MBA programs from reputed management universities and colleges in US and scores are valid for five years. GMAT is a standardized exam in English to assess a student's verbal, mathematical and analytical skills. Your score along with your under graduate marks is the deciding element for the acceptance of your application.

The first step towards giving this exam is the registration. You can choose the test center and the date for the test as per your convenience, at the time of registration. Generally, test centers are permanent in their locations. Therefore, you can choose any one near your location for giving the test. However, you must check the  availability of seat at the test center selected by you for the specific date of the test. Since GMAT is offered round the year all over the globe, you may change the date and test center of your exam if there is no seat availability for a particular date. You can search for the test centers on the internet, contact the regional registration office for GMAT and take details via phone, email, or fax. Each test center operates on its own schedule and accommodate varying numbers of test takers. Therefore, it is better to have two to three test centers planned in case of non-availability of seats. You can also plan to have two or three dates for the test and choose the date as per seat availability.
