Sentence correction

In this section questions will be in the form of sentences and you have to find out the mistake in each sentence. The mistake can be in grammar or style conventions. You should check the noun-verb relation, use of pronoun, tense of the verb, improper modifiers. There should not be any problem with parallel construction. Make sure that the sentence clearly and concisely expresses the idea.



Directions : - In a sentence, a part or the whole of the sentence is underlined. Beneath the sentence you will find 5 ways of phrasing the underlined part. You have to choose the part which is grammatically and structurally correct to replace the underlined part.

Reading comprehension. In this section you will be given a passage of text up to 350 words. You have to read and answer the questions asked related to the passage. This is to test your ability to interpret and apply the information you have read. You have to define words and phrases in context, highlight the strong and weak points of passage and you may be even asked to give a suitable heading

Critical reasoning. In this section questions will be based on 2-3 sentence arguments. In this you have to understand and evaluate the structure of an argument, recognize the factors that would strengthen or weaken an argument and find out the flaw in an argument. You have to present structure of an argument by high pointing assumptions, evidence and recognize the action of plan shown in the argument. Your score for this section will be 0 to 60. You have to complete 30-35 questions with in 75 minutes.

Practicing all these sample questions will further help you in GMAT test as you will come to the exact pattern of questions. Practicing these questions will give you the true picture of your weak points like the key areas where you need to concentrate more as well as your time management.
