ASVAB Military Test

ASVAB Tests and Question Types

What is ASVAB Test for Military?

Now that you have decided to join the U.S Military, it is important for you to take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery or ASVAB exam. This is because the main purpose of this test is to measure whether or not you are eligible for enlistment. Furthermore, the scores of the subtests in the ASVAB Military Test will also determine which job positions will be most suitable for you. The Department of Defence has developed the exam and it is also the body that continuously maintains it. If you are still in school, you can speak to your counsellor to find out how you can register for the test. On the other hand, if you have passed out from school then you will have to get in touch with a military recruiter for the same. He will assess you by asking questions about your education, health, criminal record, etc. If he finds you to be eligible, he will ask you to take the ASVAB.

Questions Types

This is a multiple-choice exam where you will find various subtests. For each of the questions in the subtests, you will find four answer options. You will be required to choose the right option for each question from the four given alternatives. Even if you are not sure about the answer, you should choose the one that you think is right because this way, you will have at least 25% of getting it correct. On the other hand, if you are taking the computer-based version of the ASVAB, you have to be sure that you have selected the right answer because with a wrong answer, the next questions you will get will carry lower scores.

ASVAB Versions

The ASVAB Military Test is of two types and these are:
