The late registration process for the September test date opens from 18th August and closes on the 24th of the same month. However, if you register on a date from 18th to 24th of August then you will have to pay a late fine of $21 along with your registration fees.
  • Most of the junior candidates, who want to check their test taking abilities, appear for the ACT in the month of June. It is so because once they get the feel of the examination then they can prepare well and take a fall test in their senior year. If you wish to take the test on June 9th 2012 then you should complete the ACT test registration process by May 4th 2012. The late registration process opens on May 5th 2012 and closes on May 18th 2012.
  • Test dates and registration deadlines will also differ depending on the country from which you are appearing for the ACT. For example, if you are an international candidate but still want to take the ACT in the fall of 2012 then the earliest possible test date is October 27th 2012. The registration process closes by September 21st 2012. International candidates do not have the option of late registration.
  • Selection of test date, and hence the date of registration, will also depend on whether you want to take the writing test or not. Not all the ACT test dates hold the optional writing test. Thus, if you want to take the writing test then you should select a test date accordingly.
