The ACT test fee varies with the two types of the test. The basic registration fee for ACT (without writing test) is $34.00 and the ACT plus writing test will cost you $49.50. These test fees include the facility for providing your ACT scores to up to four colleges of your choice. However, if owing to some personal reasons, you get late in registering for the test then, you have to bear an additional cost of $21.00 over the basic registration fee and this applies only to the students taking ACT in the United States and Canada.
Re-registration through Phone
Telephone is a very fast medium of communication and it also satisfies parties involved in communication because they hear conversations themselves. Therefore, for re-registration for the exam, you can opt for a telephone. If you want to cancel your earlier registration and want to register again through phone, you have to pay an additional fee of $13.00 above the ACT test fee.
International Center Fee
Since, ACT is mainly focused on improving the educational level of the United States, its territories, Canada and Puerto Rico but the ACT administration conducts test all over the world. Even if you are not a resident of the United States, you can attend this test from other countries, and can take admission in any of the colleges in the United States. However, if you want to apply for ACT from other countries, you have to bear an additional cost of $27.00 over the basic fee of registration for the test.
Change of Test Date
If owing to some personal problems, you could not attend ACT on the actual test date for which you were registered, you can apply for the change of the test date by paying an additional amount of $21.00 over the basic ACT test fee. You will be relieved to know that your earlier deposited ACT test fee will soon be returned to you.
Change of Test Center
On the other hand, if you want to change your test center but want to take test on the same date, you have to bear an additional cost of $21.00 over the already paid actual test fee.
If you have missed the regular as well as the late registration deadlines for a particular test date, and also do not have an option to opt for any other test day, you can go for the standby testing. This means that you have to register yourself for ACT on the spot of examination. Applying for the standby testing does not mean that you will surely be admitted to the examination hall. You may also lose this chance, as you will be welcomed on the first come first serve basis. However, this facility is not free. You have to pay an additional fee of $42.00 over the basic ACT test fee to take the standby testing facility.
